Maison Soleil is a spacious, well-equipped house with private pool and large garden, sleeping up to nine, and situated on the edge of a village in the hills of the Southern Vendée, near the town of La Châtaigneraie.

Lying within easy reach of the main motorway network and the airports of La Rochelle and Nantes, Maison Soleil is roughly three hours drive from the ports of Cherbourg and St. Malo. Stunning Atlantic beaches are just over an hour away, and attractions such as Futuroscope at Poitiers, the Puy de Fou, the Green Venice and the Forest of Mervent are also within easy striking distance. 25 minutes away is the historic town of Fontenay-le-Comte which has a large and colourful market on Saturdays. There are ancient towns and villages to explore, and Vendéen cuisine can be sampled at many cordon bleu restaurants in the area. The Vendée enjoys a Mediterranean climate with long, hot sunny days from May through to the end of September and beyond.
